Episode 1 gives your thumb not much to hold: its subtitles run to eight lines, from an offer of milk to a joke about how high a tipping machine will let you go. Dad's New Girlfriend saves its hook for episode 2, which talks more and ends on a line about hours. That is the stretch where Candy Shorts earns the swipe.
Colette, the son and a father who is away
You are the son, and the woman across from you is Colette, who is dating your dad. Her name is first spoken in episode 2, as the narrator recognizes her car. Add a father who will be away for hours and you have the setup.
Eight lines and a tipping machine
Episode 1 is lean. Someone offers milk from the fridge and gets a no, thanks. Then comes a quip about the limit on a tipping machine, a flicker of doubt about that limit, and a shrug when it holds. The subtitles do not say where this takes place or who is speaking, so I am not guessing at more.
A stranger's request and Colette's car
Episode 2 opens on a man asking someone for a phone number and hearing that they are off the clock. He grumbles that he tipped, is told the tip bought service with a smile, and warns another man off a coffee shop where the staff flirt for tips. Someone mutters that he is a weirdo. Then the narrator spots Colette's car. She jokes that today's stalker is already handled, he says he would stalk her too if she were not dating his dad, and she admits the weather leaves no room to act as if she disliked his line. The last words are hers: a nickname, "Romeo," an order to get in and a reminder that his dad is away for hours.
Banter first, the rest later
Spice level 4, Fiery, is where I put this series, a call about the paid episodes, with the full scale on the is-it-porn page. The free pair is milder than that suggests. On a free Candy.ai account I got flirting, a nickname and a car, no nudity, and no sex scene either. The edge sits in the dialogue.
Who is on screen
Colette is the lead, and the free pair gives no other character a name. You are the son. Both leads are adults, and the flirting leans on a nickname, a car and a father who is away. A man asking for a phone number opens episode 2, and the free pair does not name him.
What 48 tokens buys on Candy.ai
The four paid episodes are priced at 12 tokens apiece on Candy.ai. Run the numbers and one Premium month's 100 tokens covers them with 52 to spare, and the pricing page lists the plans. Room 742 is one episode shorter, 36 tokens to finish. The Anniversary Massage matches this run exactly: six episodes at 12 tokens.
Colette's case, my verdict
A decent swipe on Candy Shorts if you like flirting that lives in the dialogue. The free pair tells you the tone, and the series reviews list other short runs to compare.
Watch it if
- You like banter and a nickname doing the work of a scene.
- You want a short six-episode Candy Shorts run with a free pair that shows the tone.
- A father's partner as the lead is the forbidden line you came for.
Skip it if
- You need a payoff before the paywall: episode 2 ends on an invitation, not a scene.
- You want dense plot, and episode 1 has eight lines in total.
- You want something longer than six episodes.
