Day one of basic, and an audience of one
The Candy Shorts story follows a new recruit through his first day of training. His first mistake is to attract the attention of Sgt. Diana Demont, the commanding officer on base, and the series is about what that attention becomes. The Colonel is her husband, which makes each glance a risk.

The hill, the Colonel and a summons
Episode 1 starts with the recruit narrating that he is already making friends, which the sergeant promptly ends. Demont asks whether the pair of them think they can mess around in her unit, and sends him up the hill at a run. The whisper in the ranks is that she is terrifying, and attractive with it.
Then someone calls "Colonel on deck," and the Colonel's arrival changes the mood. Someone wonders whether she is his sister or his wife. The recruit admits that he should be worried but cannot stop looking at her. She tells him to drop the smirk, and sends him to her office for his punishment. His last thought closes the episode: he will take whatever she hands out.
A scrubbed floor and a locked-in order
Episode 2 of YES MA'AM on Candy Shorts is set in that office. The recruit shows up, and Demont notes that she hates chasing cowards. The swamp has been tracked across her floor, and he is told to scrub it, on his knees, and do it right. She then heads for a shower and tells him to be done when she is out.
What follows in this Candy AI Shorts episode is a string of near misses. He tells himself not to look, he looks, and he wonders whether she knows he can see. Someone named Tate gets a smug aside. Then she calls him in, orders him to stop pretending to clean, and ends the episode with a surprise for him that the free pair does not show.
