Episode 1 opens with Ryan saying his best friend brought him home for Thanksgiving, and within a few lines the friend is telling him to stop staring at his mom. On a free Candy.ai account, that line tells you what the next minute will be about.
The friend's mom runs the dinner. She recruits Ryan for kitchen duty and keeps him there while the football game fills the living room. Dinner is at six, which gives the whole Candy Shorts story a clock before it gives it a plot.
Kitchen Duty at Six
Would You Get My Apron?
The friend's mom welcomes both friends inside and announces a six o'clock dinner. Ryan is put to work on the huge turkey, and then she needs her apron because her hands are covered in butter. The cooking talk carries double meanings, and a line about butter is not about butter. When someone in the living room calls out a touchdown and asks where Ryan went, the cook's reply to Ryan is an order to stay put beside her, with the kitchen closed to the living room until dinner.
You're Missing the Game
Episode 2 stays in the kitchen. The pie is ready, she warns that it is very hot and the dialogue gets more pointed with the temperature. Someone calls out that Ryan is missing the game, and he says he is busy. An offer of a hand with the turkey gets a double-meaning answer about being good with hands. The episode ends on an invitation to try a bit before dinner. Both episodes run about a minute or two, short enough to finish between two notifications.
The Tease Stays Dressed
On Candy Shorts, Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom is spice level 4, Fiery, which in the site's terms means the paid episodes lean explicit. Episodes 1 and 2 stay dressed, and the props do the work: an apron, a pie, a turkey and a game playing next door. The is-it-porn guide explains the scale behind that number.
A Kitchen With Three Voices
Only Ryan has a name in the dialogue, spoken by the mom. The friend and his mom go unnamed, and the premise's name for the friend is Kyle. Lexi Luna lent her likeness to a twin under a license, so there was no shoot with the real person, and the twin plays the cook in this Candy AI Shorts series.
Where the Paid Part Starts
Paid episodes begin at episode 3 on Candy Shorts, at 30 tokens each. By my count that adds up to 90, inside the 100 tokens in a Premium month, and the pricing guide covers the plans. My Best Friend's Mom has a nearly identical title and five episodes of its own at 12 tokens each, so finishing it takes 36 against 90 here.
Who Should Help in the Kitchen
Watch it if
- A single kitchen and a dinner deadline are enough setting for you.
- You enjoy dialogue where most lines carry a second meaning.
Skip it if
- You want a free-episode payoff, since both episodes stay dressed.
- You want more than one location. The free pair does not leave the kitchen.
